Our Story

Since 1971, Pine Mountain Club Chalets Resort has been a part of generations of families where the emotional connection of family vacations runs deep. The family-owned and operated resort was founded by the late Courson Dowis and his wife Gussie .

The resort started from an inspirational family vacation trip to the mountains of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The Dowis family wanted to bring a little of the Tennessee mountain, Swiss Alpine Chalet theme inspired rental homes, to their wooded paradise in Pine Mountain, Georgia. With the support of many investors, the Pine Mountain Club Chalets Resort slowly grew to forty-two privately-owned chalets.

Today, Pine Mountain Club Chalets Resort features over 100 uniquely designed privately-owned cabins nestled in the beautiful wooded mountain areas in Pine Mountain, Georgia.

The resort specializes in providing vacation rental homes on a short and long-term basis, and unique event venues to include weddings, family reunions, church retreats and more.

The properties offer rental accommodations to include two bedroom to eight bedroom cabins and an array of amenities for entertainment. Come and experience the resort,  we have something for everyone.
