The Resort is a family-owned and operated business that was built in 1971. What began as simply a dream of founder/developer, Mr. W. Courson Dowis, Sr. (1925-2005), the resort has become a family favorite in the area, with generations of families coming back year after year to enjoy the quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Known as a place to re-connect with family and re-charge your spirits, the PMCC Village has grown to become the second largest resort in the area. The cabins are each privately owned vacation homes. They belong to people like you that lovethe area, the outdoors, and enjoy a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. You can enjoy a beautifully decorated home where each interior represents the owners’ personal touch. The Dowis Family continues to work in daily operations to support and grow the business. This year a newly renovated Alpine Center and Lakeside Pavilion was opened that can host events, weddings, receptions and family reunions.

Sitting on the deck grilling at night, or taking a leisurely stroll to the pool or near by restaurant was very pleasant. It was so peaceful fishing, and canoeing on the lake. “Stayed for a week in chalet 66. Office staff always friendly and helpful. Loved the large screen porch and layout of this chalet. Nicely furnished. During day if you sit on porch can hear the road noise but at night when traffic light can hear owls hooting. I was here for my daughter’s wedding so had family also staying at resort. Was nice to walk around lake and to other chalets. Wedding at resort was wonderful and they did a great job. There are things to do at resort and off site there is Callaway Gardens, Warm Springs, downtown Pine Mountain and can take day trips to Atlanta and other nearby cities.
